Shuttle Bus - Transport Arrangements
A shuttle bus will facilitate student transportation from Blakebrook PS interchange to Goolmangar each morning and afternoon.
Please note drop off and pick up times outlined below.
Morning Routine
Students Travelling on buses:
Lochlan Perren will greet students as they dismount their bus at the Blakebrook interchange and safely guide them to the shuttle bus. Students will remain on the bus until all other students have boarded.
Students being dropped at the Blakebrook interchange:
Parents can drop their children at the Blakebrook PS interchange and have their child travel on the shuttle bus to Goolmangar.
If you are dropping your child along with an older sibling before 8:25am your student will be collected by Lachlan Perren from the Pickup/ drop off zone and will be guided to the shuttle bus. We ask that you promptly leave the parking area to free up parking spaces for others.
If you are only dropping Blakebrook PS students, we ask that students are dropped off between 8:25am and 8:30am. Your child/ren will be collected by Lachlan Perren from the Pickup/ drop off zone and guided to the shuttle bus.
The Shuttle bus will depart Blakebrook Interchange at 8:30am sharp.
Please note: Unfortunately, our shuttle bus cannot wait for students running late. Students not at the interchange by 8:30am will need to be dropped to the Goolmangar site by their parents.
Parents can also drop their children directly to the Goolmangar site.
Afternoon Routine
Lochlan Perren will travel with students from Goolmangar to the Blakebrook interchange. The shuttle bus will arrive at the Blakebrook interchange at approx. 3:40 pm each afternoon. Lochlan will disembark with the ‘walkers’ (students being picked up) and safely guide them to the pickup area. To assist in making this a smooth and safe process we ask that parents wait in the pickup area for their children to be walked down to them. As each bus arrives at the interchange students will be guided to their bus by Lachlan.
Other key points:
· It is important students and families keep in mind there will be no toilets available for use at the Blakebrook PS Interchange. Students will need to go to the toilet before boarding the bus. A first-aid kit will be carried by the supervising staff member should first-aid be required.
· Bus messages will still be passed onto students via the school office. Please remember this should be done as early in the day as possible to ensure the message is received by the student.
· Should there be an urgent need to get a message to a student between 3:30pm and 4 pm Lochlan Perren will be contactable via the school mobile phone on 0467 858 926.
· Rainbow Region Kids will be operating before and after school care from the Goolmangar Site from 7am -9am and 3pm -6pm.
